Randy's failed my car inspection claiming the emergency brake failed. I asked them what it would cost me to have it fixed there and was told first there's a $167 brake inspection fee. I took it to my mechanic who tested the brake to 1,500 rpm's and the state only requires 1,200 rpm's. Obviously they tried to rip me off. Don't take your car there and make the same mistake I did.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience — we’re sorry to hear you left feeling frustrated. We always follow the state’s inspection standards and our technician noted that your emergency brake did not meet the required performance during the test conducted here. We’re happy that your mechanic was able to provide you with additional clarification. Regarding the diagnostic fee, that is only applied if a customer requests that we investigate and repair the cause of an inspection failure. We never want anyone to feel misled, and we would appreciate the opportunity to review the details of your visit to ensure everything was handled correctly. Please feel free to contact us directly at 508 359 4409 so we can address your concerns personally.
