Flat tire resulted in (4) new tires. Frustrating and expensive

Unfortunately where the tire was damaged it was unrepairable. All the tires were also worn to 90% other life and if only one tire was replaced the drivetrain would have been damaged.

Beware of Randy’s Automotive in Medfield and their outrageous nearly $300 “diagnosis” fee. We had our Ford F150 towed there for a starter issue—something we already knew was the problem. Any competent mechanic could have confirmed that quite quickly, but Randy’s insisted on charging nearly $300 just to tell us what we already knew. They don’t even credit the diagnosis fee against the cost of repair if you have the work done. What a windfall some unsuspecting folks must be bestowing upon Randy’s! Gouging pure and simple. Instead of paying their ridiculous fee, we had AAA tow the truck to a nearby shop and got the starter replaced for just a bit more than what Randy’s wanted *just* for the diagnosis. In the end, we saved $300 by not using Randy’s. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle somewhere ethical.
