My son had his car serviced there, and everyone is nice, its very clean, and the work was likely done fine BUT.....what a gouge on prices!! 53.00 per spark plug that you can get for about 19.00 retail....the same thing!!...(.and they can buy for less than that.) Always told you need rotors on a brake job even though they may be totally fine...(.and I have proven that in the past. ).....very expensive .!!.....other area service centers seem very capable and the prices are more in line with what to expect They also did this BG engine cleaning, very expensive and did not tell about that......you can buy your own cleaner and put in gas tank!! Even the looking over, just to see what the car needed was expensive! IF you go there get a written estimate, so you are not shocked when you get the bill......
You’re right some spark plugs retail for $19 but not the ones the manufacturer requires for his car. Using the wrong plugs can cause damage to the car’s emission system and cause potential engine damage. We follow manufacturers guidelines when performing all services. The brakes on your son’s car were grinding which damaged the rotor and brought it below the manufacture’s minimum rotor thickness. We even texted your son a picture of the damaged rotor. We reviewed all pricing with your son before starting work including the BG Air Induction Service. The chemical that you pour in the gas tank that you referenced is not what we did. We cleaned the air passages inside the engine. That chemical does not clean the air passages. We explained that to him when we recommend it.
