New in town and I had to get my car towed there overnight. I couldn’t of been happier with the service I got. They called me back as soon as the shop opened the next day, explained how they were going to inspect what was wrong and let me know what they come up with. They got back to me within a few hours and found a simple solution which helped save me a good amount of money. They were never pushy or trying to scare me into extra repairs like other places I have been to. I will definitely be using them going forward with my car.

It was great to meet you and your Volkswagen yesterday but we wish a tow truck wasn’t involved. We believe that you should always have options in car repair. Thank you for your feedback.

The technicians at Randy’s Automotive were able to look at the with my car on the same day that I called them. Within hours, they completed the examination of my car and recommended the necessary repairs. Derek, the service advisor, outlined the reason for the needed repairs in language that I could understand and accurately quoted the price. They made the needed repairs on the following day. I definitely recommend Randy’s Automotive.

Thanks you for the kind words. We try very hard to explain what is going on in simple terms since car repairs are so confusing especially on Hybrids. I’m glad Derick was able to educate you on the Check Engine Light on your Ford Fusion. If you have any other questions let us know.

I love getting my oil changes and other car services here. I know what to expect, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy. The coffee, snacks and free WiFi don’t hurt during the wait either. Easy to manage even with 3 kids in tow!

Thank you for the feedback. When we designed our waiting room we did it with kids in mind. We’re glad to hear it makes waiting for your oil change manageable. We look forward to servicing your Toyota Sienna and seeing you again soon.

Randy's Automotive Service of Medfield, MA I would not recommend this shop. They are competent but the cost can be high and customer service is lacking. Here's my story: We live in CT and in late July 2012 our Nissan Sentra failed on the mass pike. I looked up nearby places to have it towed on my smartphone and chose Randy's based on the recommendation of AAA, some positive reviews on various sites and the professional appearance of their web site. The car was arrived at Randy's on Thursday evening and I was pleased that they had a diagnosis and recommended fix for me on Friday morning. I wasn't expecting them to necessarily have time to look at it that soon and was delighted that they did. The diagnosis was a failed ignition coil (this engine has four of them -- one for each cylinder). The quoted repair price was $370 and I was stunned. They told me that was $220 for the part and the rest for labor. The fee for labor was reasonable, but the parts cost was insane, IMO. So I told them I'd get back to them. I called a few Nissan dealers to find out what that coil costs. I was told that my cost would be $120 and one dealer admitted to me that the shop's price for it would be $110. So that means that Randy's was marking up the part 100%!!! I called Randy's back and explained how I had researched the cost of the part and was not pleased with their quoted price and them charging me double for the part. They didn't care. I then told them that I will buy the part myself and have the dealer deliver it to them. They would not allow this. So I said that I wasn't going to have them do the work and would have it towed elsewhere. Even though it meant losing my business, they didn't' care. I started to arrange to have the car brought elsewhere but after discussion with my wife we decided to just let Randy's do the repair, in order to get the car back more quickly and just move on with our lives. So I called Randy's back and OK'd the repair. They reminded me that the car was also overdue for an oil change and I OK'd the $40 oil change. They called later that day (Friday) and said that the car was ready. We picked up the car on Saturday and I was stunned to find out that the bill totaled $515. There was no one available on a Saturday to discuss the bill with me and I was frustrated. But we had driven up from CT to collect the car, so I had no choice but to pay, take the car home and deal with it later. When I called to discuss the bill I was told that's the way it is and tough. I am very unhappy and would suggest finding another shop for your car care needs.
