I have been visiting Randys once a year for an oil change as I drive very few miles. Most recently was early August. Today while driving home (2 miles) the oil light came on. When i pulled into the driveway there was a puddle of oil and after I left the car a stream of oil formed near the front tire. I called my brother and after crawling under the car he discovered the oil filter was not tightened. I hope I do not have engine damage. This is an inexcuseable F-up. I wonder what they will do if there is damage. I have driven 42 miles since oil change. You can come to your own conclusion. In response to owners response the reason you didn't have to add any oil was because I filled it before coming in. I do however want to give praise to the two young men who came over to clean the oil off my new driveway. They were here almost an hour repeatedly going over the spots.
You are correct we did not correctly tighten your oil filter. There is no excuse for this. We only had to add less than half a quart of oil, so you don’t need to worry about engine damage. We feel horrible about our performance so that is we credit you our oil change and came to your house to clean the oil from your driveway. Again, I apologize for our poor performance.
